Return to Table of Contents.

Or travel backward through time to prehistory.

AD 6

Around this time, the area around what will become 10 Downing Street in London is nothing more than marshland.

As mentioned by the Doctor in "World War Three."

AD 64

The Rescue: Desperate Measures: Near Rome, the TARDIS, containing the 1st Doctor, Ian, Barbara, and Vicki, materializes and falls off a cliff.

The Romans: The Slave Traders; All Roads Lead to Rome; Conspiracy; Inferno: While resting at a villa near Rome, Barbara and Ian are captured by slave traders. The 1st Doctor and Vicki get caught up in affairs in the court of Nero, the Doctor eventually inspiring Nero to burn Rome. All four manage to escape their predicaments and meet back at the villa.

While these events are considered apocryphal in our own reality, the date in confirmed by the Doctor.

AD 79

Historical records. Jack's "interest" established in "The Doctor Dances."

AD 243

In Constantinople, the Doctor carves a challenges the ancient evil known as Fenric to solve a chess problem. When Fenric fails, the Doctor is able to trap his essence in a flask, banishing Fenric to the Shadow Dimensions.

AD 292

The Roman Cult of Demnos is believed to die out at this time, although it will continue on in secret until at least the late 15th century.

"The Masque of Mandragora." Exact date is conjecture. The Doctor says the Cult should have died out in "the 3rd Century."

AD 296

On Skaro, after an anticipated great rainfall does not come, the group of Thals led by Temmosus leave their plateau in search of a major source of food.

Temmosus says this happened 4 years before "The Daleks" (AD 300). Susan, in the same story, says only two years had passed, however, her information is second hand; Temmosus' statement is more likely to be correct.

AD 299

On Skaro, the radiation level near a Dalek city is measured at 96 units.

200 days before "The Daleks."

AD 300

100 000 BC: The Firemaker: The TARDIS, containing the 1st Doctor, Susan, Ian and Barbara, lands on Skaro.

AD 476

A Zygon spaceship crashes in Loch Ness, Scotland. With them is the half-animal, half-machine Skarasen, a huge creature which over the years will be taken for a "monster" inhabiting the Loch.

AD 565

St. Columba encounters the Skarasen in Scotland, in what becomes the first of centuries of sightings of the "Loch Ness Monster."

In "Terror of the Zygons," Broton says that there have been sighting of the Monster since the "Middle Ages." This is the first known sighting on record.

AD 664

"The Keys of Marinus." "7 centuries"after the creation of the Conscience (36 BC).

AD 793

The Doctor, in an incarnation after his 7th, is the wizard Merlin in an alternate universe where reality is closer to Arthurian myth. At the end of a series of conflicts, King Arthur's nemesis, Morgaine Le Fey is finally victorious; Arthur is killed. The Doctor puts Arthur's body and his sword Excalibur in a spaceship which he places at the bottom of Lake Vortigern in his home universe. Morgaine apparently seals the Doctor in the Ice Caves and becomes ruler of her solar system.

"Battlefield." These events are simply described as happening in the 8th century.

AD 943

The flask containing the essence of the evil entity Fenric is stolen by a group of Vikings, who then bring it with them to their village in Northumbria.

The runes describing these events are "a thousand years old" by the time of "The Curse of Fenric" (1943).

A thousand years before "Four to Doomsday" (1981).
